Need advice

I have been working on this piece of a woman meditating on the roof of a building, and am stuck. It's a point where I am mostly happy with it, but feel like it's missing something...any thoughts would be much appreciated!

YOu have such strong line work in the woman. I think the blues hide that... Could you drop the oppacity or the translucentity (sp) of the blue buildings?

good idea...i was thinking that background was a bit distracting. ill play around with the opacity and see how it looks.

I would agree. The colors kind of blend together. Even though you can tell she is the focal point she blends in too much with the background. Have you considered another accent color?

i added yellow in a few parts, but its pretty subtle. maybe i'll try amping that up and see what happens...

I agree with Nikki-- the line work is incredibly dynamic and interesting, but it does seem to get a little lost. The colors are fabulous on the right--richer darks, more of that warm yellow. Maybe try extending that throughout the composition?

Oh yeah, I see the yellow you added in the floor. The pose and the line work around her body are really very nice. Once the background is figured out this will be a really nice piece.
